we don't offer intensives courses as we believe learning to drive is much tougher than you might think. It requires a lot of focus, and most people find that going beyond two hours in one go isn't effective. Going for longer can make it harder to remember what you've learned and increases the chances of making mistakes, especially when you're tired. And remember, driving is a serious responsibility because it can affect people's lives. You need to stay alert all the time.
Think about it this way: even the most experienced drivers wouldn't typically drive for eight hours a day for two weeks straight. So, why would you expect a learner driver to do that?
Continuity of driving lessons is really important. The more often you’re behind the wheel the better. Between 2 and 4 hours of private lessons per week is recommended. You’re also likely to progress more quickly if you have two-hour lessons each time
At iQ Driving School, we offer home pick-up and drop-off services.
If you arrive with some prior driving experience, you'll require fewer lessons compared to a complete beginner. Following the initial assessment lesson, the instructor will assess your strengths and weaknesses, identify the areas that need improvement, and provide guidance on what you should focus on in preparation for the practical test. Subsequently, they will offer a personalized recommendation regarding the number of lessons necessary.
The key thing to learn in your first driving lesson is getting to know the car. Be comfortable with it and understand its details before you start driving on the road.
